Introduction to Formal Consensus Facilitated by C.T. Butler

The Formal Consensus model is a simple yet powerful way to organize and conduct meetings. It is value-based and structured. Groups that base their decisionmaking process on Formal Consensus find their meetings are inspiring, productive, less stressful and more effective. With this process, the group held values actually live in the spirit and behavior of each member of the group.
Topics covered will include:
- Agenda planning
- Facilitation & other roles
- Principles of consensus
- Group discussion techniques
- Blocks and stand asides
- Group dynamics
The schedule:
Friday evening, May 30th 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM informal reception and introductory exercises
Saturday, May 31st 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM theory & practice of Formal Consensus
Sunday, June 1st 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM full day of role-playing and exercises
Location: In a private home in Seattle. Directions with registration.
Tuition: On a sliding scale of $100-$150 per person. Scholarships are available. Send your $50 deposit, made payable to:
